If you want something done, do it yourself.

The other day I had an inspiration of a book I'd love to edit for Anaiah Press. I tweeted a #MSWL (Manuscript wish list) that I'd love a geeky YA romance. Later on, I delved into my character creation and worldbuilding I'm doing for HANA and I got bogged down.

I missed actually writing. I know for HANA I want everything worked out first, and I'm going to plot and outline up front. Unfortunately, this takes a lot of elbow grease and time. So, I started "pantsing" (writing on the fly) the opening for a different book. I'm taking a break from HANA to work on a geeky YA romance!

I'm writing this off the cuff, no planning ahead. Therefore, the first draft is going to be rough. But because I love you guys, I'm going to share a sneak peak at my first paragraph of my "zero" draft.

Guess what kind of geeks I'm focusing on for this book.

Title: TBA
Genre: YA romance

If smell could kill, I’d have died long ago. Early Saturday morning the “con funk” already worked its way deep into the dealers’ room. One night without showers, and the multitude of bodies squeezed between the tables managed to produce an odor ripe enough to have its own name.
